Welcome

This is the site of Angela and Peter Eveleigh

Peter

As you will see from browsing this site my interests are varied.

I love walking, especially in the Lake District and have been on most of the fells, I used to walk with our dog 'Glen' but sadly he's no longer with us, it's not the same...

In 2003 Angela and I decided to get a narrowboat 'as you do' thought we'd try something new and we love it. Our first boat was only a baby at 27 foot but she was a good starter boat. In 2005 we managed to change her for a 38 foot, there's a few things that need doing to her but she'll be a fine boat, we named her 'Tickety Boo'!!

When I was at school, many years ago, I started to play the clarinet but like so many people I guess I didn't carry on with it; Angela has been trying to get me to take it up again for years and to my surprise Christmas 2004 she bought me 'yes you've guessed it' a clarinet. I must say I didn't think I'd bother with it but I play almost every day; not had any lessons to date but I don't think I'm doing bad and I'm enjoying it, which is the main thing.

I like messing with computers, built the one I'm using, of course it's old hat now, still 'it ain't broke' so no need to change it. I enjoy photography too and most of the photographs you'll see on this site were taken on either a Fuji Finepix 6900 or S200EXR digital camera.

I'm not working at the moment, decided it was time for a change, I'm taking a year or two out (if I can manage 4years I'll be able to draw my pension so finger's crossed) Angela and myself are planning to spend a lot of time on the boat touring the system of canals, will be fun, doing what we want to do not what someone else tells us to do, great! Had to buy myself a car now the work one's gone 'Angela didn't like me using her Smart' got a Rover 75, a lot of motor for the money, I really like it (pictures in the photo gallery) will do most of the servicing on it myself to save money.

August 12th 2018. My beloved wife and friend passed away this morning, half of me has gone! I shall miss her terribly until the day we meet again.

Well enjoy your stay, have a good look round and I hope you like my site.
